Ⅰ  ❶ （灼人） burn; scald: 小心别～痛嘴。 Be careful not to burn your mouth. 别让开水～着。Don't be scalded by boiling water.
❷ （用热水加热或洗） heat up in hot water; warm: ～脚 bathe one's feet in hot water; ～酒 heat wine (by placing it in vessel containing hot water)
❸ （熨烫） iron; press: 湿衣服容易～平。 Damp clothes iron [press] easily.
❹ （指烫发） perm: 电～头发 have one's hair permed; 冷～ have a cold wave Ⅱ  （物体温度高） very hot; scalding: 滚～的水 boiling hot water; scalding water; 这汤真～！ This soup is boiling hot!
