戹è[书] Ⅰ （险要之处） a narrow pass;a place difficult of access;defile Ⅱ ❶ （受困） be stranded;be hard pressed:孟子曰：“君子之 ～ 于陈蔡之间，无上下之交也。” Mencius said，“The reason why the superior man was reduced to straits between Chen and Cai was because neither the princes of the time nor their ministers communicated with him.”
