天下无难事,只怕有心人世上无难事,只怕有心人tiān xià wú nán shì , zhǐ pà yǒu xīn rénall difficulties on earth can be overcome if men but give their minds to it; nothing in the world is too difficult for a man with a strong will (/for one who sets his mind to it); where there is a will,there is a way;with firm resolution no difficulty is insurmountable ❍ 可知俗话说:“~。”(《红楼梦》604) As the proverb says,“All difficulties on earth can be overcome if men but give their minds to it”./~。(李六如《六十年的变迁》Ⅰ—316) Nothing in the world is too difficult for a man with a strong will. ❍ 把二者总和起来,用得着中国一句老话:“世上无难事,只怕有心人。”(《毛泽东选集》165)To put the two statements together we may cite the Chinese adage,“Nothing in the world is difficult for one who sets his mind to it.” 天下无难事,只怕有心人tian xia wu nan shi,zhi pa you xin renwhere there is a will,there is a way 天下无难事,只怕有心人nothing is impossible for those who have a strong will;while there is a will,there is a way(or hope) |
