大巧若拙da qiao ruo zhuo
a truly wise man often appears slow-witted

拙：笨。真正灵巧的人不炫耀自己，表面上看似乎很笨拙。a capable man does not show off his ability and seems to be clumsy, a capable man pretends to be stupid in order to avoid jealousy, still waters run deep.
