一种良种马。由1689～1728年间引入英格兰的阿拉伯马培育而成。体形为流线型，极敏感，易激怒。善奔跑，速度快，耐力强。用于赛马，或做种马，以改良其他品种。通常为栗色、棕色、黑色或灰色。肩高1.52～1.73米。
