Medea:(Gr. myth.)an enchantress who helped Jasonwin the Golden Fleece and became his wife. She knew the magical properties of plants,substituted their en-chanted juice for the blood of Aeson,her husband’s father,and thus restored him to youth. 女巫师美狄亚帮助伊阿宋取得金羊毛并与他结为夫妻。她知道各种植物的魔力，取其汁液以换掉她公公伊孙的血液，使他恢复青春。
