Europa:1. i. e. daughter of the king of Phoenicia,of whomZeus (Jupiter or Jove in Roman mythology) becameenamoured. He assumed the shape of a white bullwith golden horns in order to approach her. She ca-ressed him and sat upon his back. Zeus thereupon car-ried her off to Crete. 欧罗巴，腓尼基王之女，为宙斯（即罗马神话中之朱庇特或周甫）所爱。宙斯变做一头金角白牛，接近欧罗巴。当她对牛爱抚并骑上牛背时，他即将她驮到克里特岛。
