Ariadne:(Gr.myth.) daughter of Minos. king ofCrete,who fell in love with Theseus,the hero of Ath-ens,and helped to find and kill the monster Mino-taur. Then Theseus carried away Ariadne but forsookher at the island of Naxos（希腊神话）阿利阿德妮，克里特王弥诺斯之女，爱上雅典英雄忒修斯并帮助他杀死半人半牛怪弥诺陶。忒修斯将阿利阿德妮带走，但又在纳克索斯岛把她抛弃。
