peasant和farmer的区别

    farmer指拥有或经营农场的人，即“农场主；农民”。peasant指自己拥有或租有一小块土地，从事耕作的人，即“农民”。二者的主要区别在于farmer主要是指农民这种“职业”，而peasant主要指农民这种“社会阶级”。
