take up的用法归纳

    take up的用法：take up后面应该加名词，如果一定要用动词的话应加ing。take up的意思有开始从事；喜欢上；开始处理；开始干(工作)；接受，答应(提议或挑战)；占用，花费(时间、空间或精力)等。
    
    take up的词义
    take up基本上有5种词义 ：1.按照单词表面的意思，理解为拿起;2.表示(尤其指消遣)学着做，开始做;3.开始从事，开始担当(begin sth such as a job);4.表示占用;5.表示接受。
    第一种词义很好理解，就是根据单词本身动作行为就能领会。
    take up第二种跟第三种词义基本上是表达差不多的意思。就是开始从事某一方面的事情，可以是你的兴趣点，也可以是某一项工作。
    第四种占用，就类似于英文单词occupy。
    第五种接受(挑战、建议、条件等)，也可以直接理解为就是接纳，像是接纳乘客。
